Unlock/Open necessary area(s)  

Communicate any instructions to contractor that you have given us in advance

Unobtrusively oversee contractor

Communicate with you via text, phone or email when work is finished

Secure area(s) 

Check for any exterior flooding, storm, or water damage

Check for signs of vandalism or forced entry

Make sure all (accessible) windows and doors are properly secured, including home, garage, and any exterior structures

Check for signs of rodents and/or insects

"Yard" mail collection- collect and remove any newspapers, periodicals, etc. that are on the lawn or steps that may make it appear as though no one is home.

Mail collection - we will check the mailbox, bring in all mail, and place in pre-designated area.

Inspect basement for flooding or leaks

Check for any signs of unauthorized access

Observe proper temperature settings

Check for odor indicating gas leaks

Confirm security system is operational

Check circuit breakers and reset, if necessary, as per instruction

Run water in all sinks, flush toilets

Check to see if refrigerator and freezer is working properly

Check and replace batteries in smoke detectors, if needed

Alternate interior lighting to appear as if home is occupied

Water plants

Start and run garaged or parked vehicles left at home.
